The drive is about 55 minutes with clear roads and 85 to 100 minutes in the morning, when the 101 and the Sepulveda Pass fill up together. These are the pickup times we plan around.
- Domestic flight — Pickup 3 hours 30 minutes before departure.
- International flight — Pickup 4 hours before departure, for the earlier check-in at Tom Bradley (TBIT).
- Red-eye or early morning — Before 5 a.m. the 101 is clear and the drive holds at 45 to 50 minutes.
- Peak morning, 6–9 a.m. — Add 30 to 45 minutes. The 101 through Calabasas and the 405 over the pass are the two slow points.
