Santa Ana to LAX Car Service,
timed to your flight.
Santa Ana to LAX is the one Orange County drive where the freeway you pick matters more than the time you leave: the 405 and the 5 both get you there, and they fail on different days. Upfront price agreed before you book, a private luxury black SUV with room for the bags, and a pickup time counted back from your departure, with the chauffeur checking both routes before he leaves.
Fares may change without notice. The price you see in the booking search is the one we honor.
Your pickup time, counted back from the flight.
About 45 minutes with clear roads and up to 85 minutes in the peaks, when the 405 through Long Beach and the 105 into the airport fill at the same time. Downtown Santa Ana and the Civic Center add a few minutes of surface streets to the 5 or the 22. These are the pickup times we plan around.
- Domestic flight — Pickup 3 hours before departure. That covers the drive, the drop on the upper level of your terminal and the security line, which on a holiday weekend is the slow part.
- International flight — Pickup 3 hours 45 minutes before departure, for the earlier check-in at Tom Bradley (TBIT).
- Red-eye or early morning — Before 5 a.m. the 405 and the 105 are empty and the drive holds at 40 to 45 minutes. Your chauffeur confirms the time the night before and meets you at the door.
- Peak hours, 6–9 a.m. and 3–7 p.m. — Add 30 to 40 minutes. The 405 north from the 22 through Seal Beach and Long Beach is the slow stretch, and the 105 has its own queue at the airport end. The 5 north to the 605 can be the better bet in the morning, so we check before choosing.

Which way we go, and why.
Two ways to the airport, and your chauffeur checks both before the pickup:
- 22 west → 405 north → 105 west — The usual one from downtown, the Civic Center and Garden Grove: the 22 to the 405, north past Long Beach, then the 105 straight into LAX. Fastest whenever the 405 is moving.
- 5 north → 605 → 105 — The way around when the 405 is stopped, and the natural one from Tustin, North Santa Ana and MainPlace: up the 5, north on the 605, then the 105. A few more miles, often fewer minutes.
- Pickup across Santa Ana — Downtown and the Artists Village, the Civic Center, MainPlace, the Bowers Museum area, South Coast Metro and the neighborhoods toward Tustin and Garden Grove, at the same upfront pricing.
- At LAX — We drop at your airline's terminal on the upper level (departures). Tell us the airline when you book so the chauffeur takes the right ramp instead of circling.
